Genjutsu vs Viggle: template motion or your own footage?

Both put a new character into a video, but they start from different places. That difference decides which one your project actually needs.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is Genjutsu better than Viggle?

For recasting your own footage while keeping the performance, Genjutsu is purpose-built for it. For template and character-animation formats like dance trends, Viggle is the more natural fit. They optimise for different starting points.

Is there a free Viggle alternative?

Free access in this category changes constantly - check the current offer on any vendor before trusting an old list. On this site, the examples, guides and prompt templates are free; the Genjutsu model itself is paid.

Can Viggle recast a video I already shot?

Viggle can drive characters from motion sources, but it is built around animating characters in selectable formats rather than rebuilding an arbitrary live-action clip from references. Recasting existing footage is Genjutsu-specific territory.

Which one keeps my original camera work?

Genjutsu, by design: the camera, timing and motion are inherited from your source clip. In Viggle, the motion comes from the format or source you choose, so the original camera is not the anchor.

Do both offer watermark-free output?

Both run subscription models with their own watermark rules - verify on each vendor. On Genjutsu here, any active plan includes watermark-free downloads.

What do I need to start with each?

Viggle: a character image and a motion format. Genjutsu: a 3 to 30 second clip you own plus 3 to 6 reference images per element you want to change.
